How to Measure Concrete Stair Treads : Best Concrete Stair Treads

Concrete stair treads – The first step in the construction of concrete stairs is to measure the actual size of them and the amount of material you need to make them that size. Two main parts form the concrete stairs: the boom and the rolling. The boom refers to its height, which should be between 4 and 7 and 1/2 inches. Rolling refers to the part of the stairs you step on, from the tip of the ladder to the next lift, which should be between 12 and 14 inches. Measure from the ground up to the door threshold and subtract 1 inch to consider the slope. Divide this number by the number of stairs you want to determine the height of each elevator.

Determine the depth of each tread, usually between 12 and 14 inches. The depth you choose depends on the amount of space you have available for the stairs. Ladders with a depth of 14 inches will extend farther from the door than stairs with a depth of 12 inches. Multiply the bearing depth by the number of stairs to find out how far the ladder will extend from the door.

Measure the width of the door opening, from the left side to the right side. Add 2 to 4 inches to make the stairs slightly wider than the opening. Multiply this number by the length of the stairs that extend from the door. The answer tells you the square footage of the stairs.
